Annual competition raises money for local non-profits
Thousands of athletes and spectators will visit the shores of Towne Lake for the Towne Lake Triathlon Labor Day Weekend, September 3rd, 2018. The annual event, presented by Onurmark Productions, featured both Olympic- and sprint-distance courses set throughout Towne Lake, in addition to a junior triathlon for athletes ages 6-15. Athletes participating in Onurmark’s Giving Challenge for this event raised over $28,000 for three nonprofit organizations. More than $400,000 has been raised for dozens of charities since the program’s inception in 2012.
Towne Lake would like to thank the Berry Center, Lone Star College and Kroger for their partnership and help in making the triathlon a success.
