Newmark Homes Makes Debut in Booming U.S. 290 Corridor in Caldwell COS' Award-Winning Towne Lake Community

The prestigious Newmark Homes company started construction on a model home in Caldwell Companies’ award-winning master-planned Towne Lake community at the beginning of October.

Mike Moody, Newmark Homes’ President and Chief Executive Officer, said this is the only community the company is building in along the U.S. 290 corridor. Newmark has made its mark in several thriving communities in the Houston region, including Pearland, Sugarland, Richmond, League City, Katy, Missouri City and Montgomery County.

“We believe that Towne Lake is the best located community in northwest Houston with the most generous and unique amenity package in the greater Houston area featuring a 300 acre lake which will serve as the community’s center of activities,” Moody said. “We believe our homes will complement the community well and we believe our sales will be brisk after we open our model.”

The model is scheduled to open in January.
Newmark is building on 70- and 80-foot lots in Towne Lake, which are located throughout the 2,400-acre custom-designed community near the intersection of Barker-Cypress and West roads. Home prices will range from $260,000 to $800,000 for homes on Towne Lake’s 300-acre recreational lake.

“Newmark Homes is an exceptional builder with a top-quality product,” said Peter Barnhart, Caldwell Cos.’ development partner. “The company’s decision to locate in our master-planned community is further confirmation that the public is beginning to understand the vision for Towne Lake.” Towne Lake was named “Best Community Under 2,500 Acres” during the Greater Houston Builders Association’s “Houston’s Best” awards program recently.

The locally-owned company was also awarded Houston Best’s “Best Event/Promotion” for Towne Lake’s first annual free Mother’s Day Concert, which was held on the shores of Towne Lake in May.

The Towne Lake community has been designed around a 300-acre recreational lake that serves as the heart of the community and will be Houston’s fourth largest lake when completed. Towne Lake’s amenities are geared toward drawing neighbors out of their homes and together to build a strong sense of community.

Barnhart said Newmark’s commitment to excellence in building, and inspiring designs will fit in well with the overall Towne Lake concept.

A cast of highly-reputable builders have constructed a wide variety of home styles and sizes in Towne Lake’s family-oriented neighborhoods, and have exciting plans on the drawing board. Newmark is part of that distinguished list, which includes David Weekley Homes, Coventry Homes, Village Builders, Trendmaker Homes and K. Hovnanian’s Four Seasons.

Moody said Newmark will offer its “Signature Series” in Towne Lake. Popular features in that series include stucco and stucco-and-stone elevations; eight-foot leaded glass front doors; staircases with wrought iron features; his-and-her closets; granite kitchen and master bath countertops; stainless steel appliances; and double-pane, low-E windows for energy efficiency.

“Newmark Homes Houston specializes in build-to-order home sales,” Moody said. “Our buyers have the ability to personalize and upgrade their homes with the latest luxury design features.”

Barnhart said home sales in the price point Newmark will be building in have been brisk which prompted our decision to add another builder. Overall, Towne Lake’s home sales continue to increase and with the addition of new products in 2010, will only get better, he said. Caldwell Cos.’ Towne Lake vision is the result of years of intense land planning, visioning, construction and a constant effort to look through the consumer’s eyes to meet their stated and unstated needs. In keeping with that vision and mission, there are several exciting developments on the horizon at Towne Lake, Barnhart said.

“We are planning new product offerings throughout the community in 2010,” Barnhart said. “We will also complete the construction of Tuckerton Road – our “Main Street” – through to Barker-Cypress Road next year.” When fully built out, Towne Lake will have several sections of “Hill Country-inspired” single-family homes – many waterfront properties - ranging from the $180,000’s to multi-million-dollar properties. A 180-acre “Town Center” will front U.S. 290 and will feature Class A office space and retail establishments. There will also be a community retail shopping and a myriad of waterfront restaurants on Barker-Cypress, as well as a community amphitheater.

In the heart of the community will be a marina and an additional community center with a competition pool, lagoon pool and lazy river. There will be numerous parks and hiking and biking trails spread throughout Towne Lake, and “old-fashioned” fishing holes sprinkled throughout the community.

The Towne Lake community’s Welcome Center is located at 9214 W. Bridgeport Pass Circle.

Some time ago, I did need to buy a building for my firm but I did not earn enough money and could not purchase anything. Thank goodness my comrade proposed to get the credit loans at creditors. Thus, I acted so and used to be satisfied with my financial loan.
