Parents and children alike will be excited to hear that in a decent announcement from Cy Fair Independent School District (CFISD), Towne Lake children will now be able to ride buses to and from Rennell for this school year an won’t have to wait until next year as originally planned! This is great news for working parents who were struggling to schedule carpools and juggle their schedules to ensure timely travel for their children.
In a letter dated August 17, 2010, Rennell Principal Leslie Thomas happily communicated that, with announced changes about widening Tuckerton Road, Rennell students from Towne Lake will be eligible for bus routes much earlier than expected! As well, on Tuesday night, August 31, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. parents are welcome to attend the information meeting at the Berry Center Theater regarding the exciting new “Destination Imagination” program that will be available at Rennell Elementary this fall.

The beautiful nearby Houston Family Arts Center (HFAC) will present the play “Twelve Angry Jurors” from the Teen Actors Guild Performance Workshop from August 19 - 22. The play is based on the famous movie “Twelve Angry Men”, and examines, through interesting and revealing drama, the prejudices, motivations, frustrations, and character of twelve jurors in the case of a teen being tried for murder. Did he do it? Is the case sound? Does it matter to all of the jury? Will justice prevail?
The play will be presented in the round on the studio stage, so the audience will feel like they are part of the play. HFAC is located at 10760 Grant Road, Houston, TX 77070. The roadways and waterways in Caldwell Companies’ award-winning Towne Lake master-planned community will be crowded with athletes reaching for the gold at the Memorial Hermann Houston Triathlon and Duathlon on September 26.
Onurmark Race Productions is presenting the triathlon/duathlon, which is sanctioned by USA Triathlon, the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States.
This athletic challenge will kick off at 7:30 a.m. and is open to all ages and fitness levels.
