Cy-Falls Staff Build Habitat House

Serving as Habitat for Humanity volunteers, several staff members of Cypress Falls High School recently helped to build homes in a Northwest Houston Community.

Becky Denton, local Cypress Falls principal, contacted Habitat for Humanity in an effort to give her staff the opportunity to make a difference in their community. And, their response was great!

The Cypress Falls staff volunteers worked on five homes in the Hamill Ranch community located near Richey Road and Champion Forest Drive. They performed a variety of task including priming the interior, shingling the roofs, and clearing debris.

The experience was so positive for volunteers and recipients; Denton is planning another Cypress Falls Habitat build for later this fall as well as encouraging the football team conducting a spring service project, all in an effort to continue the schools philanthropic efforts.
