Scholastic Arts Awards Cy-Fair Honor Students

The 12 Gold Key and 22 Silver Key Awards winners from the Cy-Fair Independent School District have been announced in the Regional Scholastic Art Awards.

Over 165,000 students submitted work to the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for review by professional artists, educators and creative industry leaders. Nearly 50,000 students earned regional awards and 1,000 students earned national awards.

The Gold Key award winners will be featured in an exhibit at the Art League of Houston located at 1953 Montrose Blvd from January 14 through February 9, 2011. The exhibits can be viewed from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, and 11 am to 5 pm on Saturdays. On February 14 the Gold Key Art Reception will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Harris County Department of Education, 6300 Irvington Blvd.

The Silver Key winners will be featured in an exhibit at the Texas Art Supply located at 2001 Montrose Blvd from January 7 through January 30, 2011. The exhibits can be viewed from 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 12 to 6 pm on Sunday. The Silver Key Art Reception will be held on January 30 from 2 to 3:30 pm at Texas Art Supply.
